The Corn Snow Classic at Elk Mountain Ski Resort

About the Corn Snow Classic
Brought to you by the Elk Foundation for the Advancement of Racing and Education (ELK F.A.R.E.), the inaugural Corn Snow Classic is a two-day, charity ski event. The event features U.S. Ski Team members and racers in a post-season, sanctioned J1, J2 and second year J3 race. Additionally, U.S. Ski Team members lead a number of instructional youth clinics for J3, J4 and J5 skiers.

Over the past several months, the Corn Snow Classic organizing committee has worked to secure participation by these elite athletes and generous sponsorships and in-kind donations that have truly made the event possible. Proceeds from the event benefit the U.S. Ski Team and ELK F.A.R.E.

Aside from the financial boost the Corn Snow Classic gives the U.S. Ski Team and ELK F.A.R.E., the enthusiastic participation of U.S. Ski Team members, almost immediately after the Olympics and a number of World Cup races, offers our young participants the experience of racing and learning from the best skiers in the country. No doubt, this experience will be a part of their lifetime love of the sport.

About ELK F.A.R.E.
ELK F.A.R.E. is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization, which provides a variety of safety and educational services to Elk Mountain Ski Resort's racing program, including racing scholarships.

About Elk Mountain Ski Resort
Since 1959 Elk Mountain Ski Resort has provided quality skiing. The northeastern Pennsylvania ski area now offers skiing and riding on 27 slopes and trails serviced by six chairlifts and a surface lift in its recently expanded terrain park.

The average ski season at Elk Mountain runs from early December thru March. The base lodge facility includes a cafeteria, the Winter Garden Restaurant and lounge, ski school, rental shop and retail ski shop. The slopes and trails are open daily from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Elk Mountain caters to experienced skiers and rivals the larger mountains of New York and New England.
